      Kokhala's flagship Patent Pending breakthrough technology product is the Energy Cell ®, the result of extensive research, advanced engineering and testing. The Energy Cell® represents state-of-the-art in on-site thermal electric technology, utilizes all sources of heat energy; including sunlight, air conditioners, attic heat, or waste process heat as its sustainable fuel to convert into electricity, hot water, and space heat. Although our electrical efficiency is similar to the electrical efficiency of solar photovoltaic systems (12 to 18%), we also simultaneously produce domestic hot water and space heating - which raises the net power efficiency to more than 80%. Kokhala's EnergyCell® utilizes air conditioning and refrigeration components, creating a modular and scalable system (like an air conditioner) to enable us to cost-effectively address applications up to a large industrial plant. Kokhala's solar EnergyCell® can simultaneously produce electricity, space-heating and hot water, providing many critical advantages when compared to other solar technologies:
• Superior Performance - ability to produce up to four times more useable energy per unit area.   
• Reduced Manufacturing Costs - from the integration of proven, mass-manufactured components from the air conditioning, refrigeration and solar collector industries.
• Selectable Thermal Input - the ability to utilize heat from sunlight, air conditioning, refrigeration systems, tankless fluid heaters, biomass heaters and process waste heat etc. 
• Controllable Energy Output - the ability to select the ratio of electric power to heat used. 
• Variable-Speed Operation - the ability to vary the speed of the expander to match the load demands of the facility and the varying amounts of sunlight and heat energy available.
