Each day, more energy falls to the Earth from the sun's rays than the total amount of energy that the planet's 5.9 billion inhabitants would consume in 27 years. Only in the last few decades when growing energy demands, increasing environmental problems, and declining fossil fuel resources have made us look to alternative energy options have we focused our attention on truly utilizing this tremendous resource in a practical, affordable way. Whereas common power plants only convert 34% of the fuel into energy, Kokhala's EnergyCell system uses up to 90% of the primary energy for the generation of power and heat. Optimized energy management saves money, generates less exhaust gas, and thereby reduces pollution. The installation of only one EnergyCell system will reduce the CO 2 emissions to an amount comparable to the work of 10 acres of forest.

Kokhala can claim many firsts, the greatest of which is to make these technologies a commercial reality. In time, Kokhala will manufacture and market its solar thermal electric modules and components internationally.
